The REACH "Drive for Kid’s" golf tournament was established in 1998 to raise funds to support the northern Californian Shriners Hospital for Children. Contributions were used solely to support the Shriners mission to provide quality hospital and medical care to children. Funds raised were managed by the Shriners foundation. In 2002 our focus broadened to include raising funds for pediatric needs in the north state. Funds raised were managed by Redding Medical Center Foundation, a 501©(3). Redding Medical Center is now Shasta Regional Medical Center (SRMC.)

In 2005 Redding Medical Center's foundation name changed to Shasta Regional Medical Center Foundation. In 2006, we joined forces with Emergency Services Foundation (ESF), a 501 ©(3) non-profit entity. The foundations purpose is to seek and distribute funding to ensure that residents of northern California and seasonal visitors always receive quality emergency services.
Through all of these changes, the dedicated volunteers have remained passionate about the REACH "Drive for kids" Golf Tournament. Their dedication to raising funds for children has made the REACH "Drive for kids" Golf Tournament an extremely rewarding and popular tradition.
